Smil Belinda

Welcome to an Anglo-Danish theatre
POP concert Experience

A GUEST PERFORMANCE from Italy.
hosted by HIT for 2 nights only.
13 /14 March 2020
8 p.m.

Smil Belinda is a fun, thought-provoking and entertaining hour
of live
music, song and theatre.
A
pop concert experience with video projection, hit covers from the sixties to the eighties belted out to make you think afresh – all with a sublime and serious message about who we are and where we come from.

It is a fun night.
Meet Franca and Frank, a cosmopolitan musical duo – he is
a Danish musician, she is an international multi-lingual singer. With 15 years experience of touring under their belt, Franco and Franca regale us audiences with a repertoire of pop songs we all know and love, which it turns out, have more to do with us as a generation of survivors in modern society, than taking a nostalgic trip down memory lane…

Why?
Franca and Frank are a couple in search of spiritual purification. They have noted a change in attitudes among Europeans of today and are concerned about the dissolution of the dream and hope of a united or common European society.

Their mission is crystal clear : we must be reminded of our joint cultural inheritance … and what would be more appropriate than singing it to the beat with a re-mix of fresh cover-pop-hits from the sixties, seventies and eighties!

What does it mean to be Danish in a changing world of fluctuating borders and immigration? Or Italian? Or French? Or something else entirely?
This singing and video projection theatrical performance is one hour long.
Performance is in English and some Danish, with sub-titles when needed.
